Power modules enable top performance and innovation for today’s advanced UAVs

UAV and drone applications are growing rapidly and advanced power systems are needed to deliver peak performance. Today’s innovative UAVs support disaster relief efforts, search and rescue, surveillance and more. Longer range, runtime and payload levels enable greater feature sets and innovation opportunities. Commercial and defense UAVs are undertaking new applications that require more functionality, and power is often a limiting factor in their design. The best UAVs are distinguished by lightweight, efficient, high-density power that can deliver high performance under rugged conditions.

Vicor will present 2 sessions at UAV Market Trends and Power System Seminar

March 21st
13:00 – 17:00
Room 103, Taipei International Convention Center

Build Better UAVs Using Modular Power

Presented by Tom Curatolo, Director of Industrial Business Applications Engineering Team, Vicor

The Power Delivery Networks (PDN) based on Vicor’s high performance power modules enable innovative designs for the next generation of UAV development. The modules are typically smaller in size and lightweight compared to competitive solutions, enabling UAVs to take on larger and heavier payloads. In addition these modules can be easily paralleled, allowing for designs to scale in power as UAV power demands increase and allow for the same power architecture to be deployed within a platform of various sized UAV systems.
